Prefab modular green home, Thailand
The designer put it, “To build an earth-friendly house is not as simple as placing some solar panels on your roof”; hence, designing needs creativity and variety of materials not just only green materials and solar panels. Undeniably, traditional Thai house becomes an outstanding concept which its design contains “4Rs”: reduce, reuse, recycle, and renew.
Designers united the green concept and Thai families’ lives perfectly. Making green will be simply done by planting. It is obviously seen that this is not only just a house design, but it is also a trendy modified home and life style.
Roughly 1,000 sq ft, the two-bedroom home was designed for three, the average number Thai family member. The interior design was decorated with bright colour and using natural material which makes its appearance similar to contemporary US apartment. Built-in cabinets and furniture save space and offer more rooms perfectly.
Although the exterior texture feels a bit rough because of the shipping containers, the architect still be in completely interesting. Plenty of windows for natural daylight, sun protection screens and shades, and even greywater system are wonderful basic options.
Home designing incredibly combines a plot of land to the side of the house to be able to plant own food. Its space of landscape allows doing gardening. The continuing of innovation of prefab model home will offer alternative construction technology to Thai builders. The designers are attempting to develop a prefabricated construction system to make further fantastic home design.
